Here’s what you can expect at a Fenton Park Bible Church service. We meet 10am every Sunday at 42 Hilda Street, Rotorua.
Preaching
Our teaching is expository, meaning it seeks to bring out the original meaning of God's word, and its application for today. You'll want to follow along in your Bible (ask the greeter for one if you don't have one). Generally, the message is about 45 minutes long.
Songs
We sing a few songs together each week as part of our service. The songs we sing include both contemporary worship songs and traditional hymns.
Communion (The Lord's Supper)
Communion is served most Sundays. Anyone who is a genuine follower of Christ is welcome to partake. People are encouraged to reflect upon the Lord's redeeming work, grab a piece of bread and a cup of grape juice from one of the communion tables, then partake in their seat.
Children's Sunday School
Our Bible Explorers programme is available for primary school age children every Sunday during the school term. Children will be released to go upstairs sometime before the sermon. During school holidays, children stay for the whole service with their parents; and clip boards with activity sheets and coloured pencils are provided.
Crèche
There is a crèche also available upstairs for children aged 3 years and under. It includes a Bible story and songs for the kids. A live video feed of the service is also available, so parents don't have to miss out.
Mothers' Room
For mothers with infants, there is a room with a live video feed of the service available in the fellowship hall (across from the kitchen).
Morning Tea
Join us for fellowship after the service! Free coffee (filtered & instant), tea, and bikkies are provided after the service in the fellowship hall. This is a great time to meet others and share life together.
Pastors Are Available
Our pastors are always available, both before and after the service to answer any questions you may have, provide counsel, and pray with you.
Dress
Dress is casual, comfortable, and respectful.
